It has been a difficult time for me and my family. Divorce is never easy, but it is something I need to see through so I can get on with the rest of my life. We are in the process of selling our home and splitting the profits. This makes the divorce process all the more painful as this was the place we all called home. I had to file an insurance claim once after we were robbed. My jewelry and other items were taken. While this was a devastating time for my family, it pales in comparison to the end of my marriage. My children do not understand what’s going on, but they are trying to stay brave. We are in counseling to help cope with the sadness. We will all eventually get on with our lives, but in the meantime, it is a period of mourning. I am hopeful that once the house sells that we will be able to move on with our lives.
